As some of you may know I grow fresh brocolli in my garden and it is again furnishing me with fresh florets. January 15th and I'm still picking fresh brocolli, while we are in the record lows in temperature for our area. I love living in Southern California! Anyway back to the discussion anybody have recipes for fresh and I mean fresh brocolli. Right now I am sitting here dipping it fresh picked in butter with garlic and season all in it.

Would cream of brocolli soup work?
2 C Brocolli
1 1/2 C Water
2 c Milk
2 Tbsp Cornstarch
Dash of Pepper
Dash of Thyme
2 Chicken Buillion Cubes
Place water, buillion cubes, and brocolli. Simmer for 20 minutes.
Mix cornstarch and milk.
Bring sauce pan to a boil and add Cornstarch and milk.
When it's thinkened season to taste.
Sometimes I like to add a little cheddar cheese to my bowl.

Have you thought of adding it into other things? Like making a brocolli and cheese rice dish? Or brocolli and chicken with rice. Brocolli is a very versitile vegitable that when cut up it can be placed into most anything. I've added it to soups, stews, side dishes to add flavor and a bit of color. You can even add it into mac and cheese. It's one of the few things that I find goes with most anything.
