HIV? how i know...

HIV can take up to six months to show up ona blood test and even longer for the symptoms to show. If I were I would just go and get tested. I know it must be scary but it is really important that if you do have it you catch it early.

Even if you went to a doctor after you where newly infected, the doctor would not be able to test you accurately. Many people went over 10 years before any sign of infection. My question to you is what have you done lately to think you may have come in contact with the virus? Get an anonymously done test if possible, that way your insurance company does not cut you off.

Get tested. Why put yourself through all the stress and worry. If you are pos. then you know you need medical help as soon as possible. If you are neg. then you worried over nothing. I don't beleive there are any external symptoms, sorry. If you think that you may have HIV you should go to a doctor and get tested, a simple blood test will tell if you have it or not.

You can be infected with HIV and not develop any symptoms for years together if you are a healthy individual and sometimes develop AIDS within months of the virus infecting your system......... So the best thing would be to get yourself checked since if the virus has not yet spread or is in its starting stages of infection spread anti-virals and other medicines to the effect can help control the spread of the infection and you can live a long life ........ :)
