Would you marry someone in jail if they had to do 20 years and you were in your 20's, 30's, 40's. Would you marry someone who had robbed a bank his first time and got caught? Would you marry someone who was never getting out of jail? Would you marry him because you fell in love with him after you met him as a pen pal? This may seem strange but people have did these things,do these reasons justify a means to marry someone in jail? Do you have reasons to marry someone in jail,or know of someone who has married someone in jail? Let me know?

nope to all the questions... i wouldnt be caught associating with such type of people in the first place and hence there is no question if me marrying them!! if this someone had loved me, he would have told me abt his plans to rob a bank or any other stupid thing he was planning to do... and i would have stopped him!!! so no question of marrying someone in bank

I would not marry someone who is currently in jail. After they have gotten out and paid for their mistake, then it is a new ball game. As a footnote,I believe that if you are in jail, you lose the right to get married until released. To marry someone who is in jail for life is making a mockery about the sanctity of marriage and increases my beliefs in that marriage is just a piece of paper in today's society.

But you do know that people do marry murders after seeing them on TV and becoming their penpals and then getting married. I don't think the jail people care if someone get married or not.

No! There are millions of men out there so I wouldn't opt to marry a man in jail! I wouldn't be so desperate. What kind of relationship would that be? I guess there wouldn't be much fighting... lol, but I love to see my husband everyday. If he'd been behind bars at any time when we were dating I think I would have taken the hint that he wasn't the one for me. Unless of course he was falsly convicted.

Absolutely not. Most of these guys just use you while they are in there and once they get out they are gone. I think its a crazy idea. I would never ever do that.

No way! I can find someone out of jail and they are much better companion than someone who commited a crime.

let me define marriage it is a commitment of relationship for rest of your life if you really love a person no matter where he is how he is it is the fact that he or she would simply spend her life with you in pain and happiness i would say i would marry someone in jail if he or she tuly loves me

i dont think anyone would marry someone in jail. its like marrying someone from outer space. i agree to love is blind which contributes to why they do such strange things. or perhaps pity towards them and so they try to fulfil their last wishes? these marriages wouldn't really last even if there are any..

Yes, and you do not need a "Court Order", you just need permission from the jail or prison. If you are not really asking out of idle curiosity, go check out http://www.prisontalk.com and go to the appropriate forum for your state to get details for your particular situation.
