I just love to read those classic kids story. You know the ones: Story of Robin Hood, Puss in Boots, woody woodpecker, Cinderella, bugs bunny in storyland and many more. The classics seem to have a valuable lesson in each of them. Kids still love them today. We still use the same story book for our grandkids that we used for our kids. There is this great site online. It is a project of sorts. It began in 2005. They posted one clasic from the golden age each week. This is a three year project. Their are so many wonderful kids classic's here that are free to download. They are so easy to put on a CD for you children or your grandchildren to listen to. I have made several of them for my grandchildren to listen to while they are traveling. If you love the classics, you will love this site. Remember to check out all 3 years. They will be adding a new one each week this year. The list that they will be adding is already posted. It would make a great gift for a child's birthday party. Enjoy!

As a child, I had a book called "Uncle Wigglies' Tales" or something like that, that was a collection of stories about animals, I remember really loving it. I would love to find another copy to read to my children. Thanks so much for the link, I've found lots of great children's literature online and am always glad for another resource.

I still have all my children's books from when I was younger. I'm going to read them/give them to my children when I have some. From time to time I go a reread a lot of them. I used to love the pokey little puppy and other books with the gold binding I forget the name right now.

the books I read to my daughters were so worn out that I had to rebuy them for my grandbabies. I think one of my favorites is the Saggy Baggy Elephant. And My youngest daughters favorite was the pokey little puppy.

of course i still love those stories. they are the ones that we all grew up reading or having our parents read to us. i plan to read all my favorites and more to my children when those days come. those stories define us in a way. and in some stories we can relate and some are there for the pure fantasy and the bases of your fantasys. ♣
