Seems like a 'Dumb' question...Yet I have found that i cannot go without one anymore(?) I ALWAYS have to know what the time is, whether i need to know it or not.. I read an article recently about this, and it suggested (to those like me) to try and go an entire day without one. Supposedly, it can actually reduce stress -once you get used to being without it- since it teaches you to live in 'the moment', and to stop obsessing over time itself~ We all need to know the time when it comes to appointments, our job, meetings, etc..Yet many tend to become 'Obsessive-Compulsive Time Watchers' Maybe along with the day dedicated to the Great American "Smoke-Out", we should have one for the Great "Watch-Not" Any Comments~??

Interesting point. I don't wear a watch. Of course in every day life we all need good time management which is kind of difficult without knowing what time is it, but I usually use my cell phone for that perpose. It takes longer to take it out of my purse, but on the other hand it keeps me from looking at the watch too often.

i used to wear a watch. its 3 years old. around 6 months ago it got messed but didnt fix it. and started to pass my days without it. didnt face that much problem. u know what? i now can guess what time it should be by measuring the position of the sun. and my calculations are sharp enough. though u need a watch in ur busy days and its really importent. coz sharp timing is u always need. so im thinking either to buy one or fix my adidas watch.

no not anymore, but i am about to buy a Timex because I am always wondering what time itis.I know most people use their cell s,but I need a watch, with the old fashioned hands, not digital.I don't know why except the faces on the old watches are more beautiful.

I agree with you- I also have to wear one with a 'face', i cannot deal with digital time..lol..even my cell phone's front (of the flip) is set with a 'clock' with a face. There must be something in regards to viewing it as opposed to 'seeing' other time around it -? Does that make any sense?? TY!~

No, actually, I don't. I own several of them, because people keep buying them for me for Christmas, birthdays, etc. but I just don't like them. Even when I do finally remember to put one on, I'm not used to it, so I still don't look at it. Besides, I usually don't try to dwell too much on what time it is unless I have somewhere that i have to be.

~Thank you All for your responses! I never thought about using my cell phone for checkin the time, as in, using it for that 'purpose' also- Good idea..maybe i will ditch my watch and just check my cell....But i will prob just be obsessively looking at that all the time instead of my watch! LOL..

I have had many a hiccough with watches, but none have fallen into the category of "I have lost it" it has just stopped without reason, sped up, slowed down, and here is a wicked one, gone in complete reverse. on three occasions. even that one has me stumped and quite a few think that maybe i escaped from krypton and should have some tests done to see if i am firing on more cylinders than everyone else. or have parts that maybe no one else has got. I have no intention of being a Guinea pig for anybody so chose not to wear a watch at all which is a shame, but we can't have it all. one thing that i can never understand is why is it that the at least 95% of the population wear their watches on their left hand even if their right handed. someone enlighten me.

LOL...Oh my~ Maybe you have some kind of 'different' magnetic field about you..I have read about those who have that problem, and they cannot wear watches because of that fact..-? As for why I wear my watch on my left, and i am right handed, i guess it is just that being right handed, i like my right hand/arm to be as 'free' as possible since i use it the most..That is a good question that i never noticed and/or thought about before..I wonder if that is the reason for other 'right-handers'-?? Thank you 4 your response!

I do not wear a watch because the band always breaks or the watch itself breaks down. I find it easier to check the time on my cell phone. Why keep paying more to replace or fix a watch when I have my cell phone that tells me what time is at that moment? I used to wear watches plus my cell phone reminds me of appointments that I put in there.

I used to wear a watch all the time. But ever since I got a cell phone (going on 9 years now!), I've never worn one. I check the time constantly. crazy huh!? ;)

no.not any more but I intend to but me a timex soon because when I am out I find myself often looking at my cell for the time and that takes some digging for I only use a cell when I am on the road in case I have to call AAA.

I need a watch horribly. I don't have a car at present, so if I'm going anywhere, I have to be where a bus is going to be or a person who was good enough to give me a ride, so life would be much easier with one.I usually check my balance at an atm machine, so i can get a slip of paper with the time on it.

No I don't wear one. I like wrist watches but I am obsessive about it. Each time I buy one, I wear it for nothing more than 3 months before buying another one. I give the old one away also. Now this act drains my purse so I stop wearing it completely. I also have same problem with cell phone. I bouth up to 5 cell phone in the last 6 months. But I guess the last one i bough (LG 510) will keep me satisfied. I just can't do without cell phone. Probably i would have stoped using it.
