internet as addiction

do you think that internet nowadays becoming an addiction to many of its users now most of our time is spent on chatting searching or using mylot and other such activities. do you think that that our social interactions and activities are declining?

I think that it's different for everybody. I don't neglect other things that I have to do or social activities that I want to participate in so that I can spend time on the Internet. I don't neglect my family and friends in favor of surfing the Web and posting on MyLot. I have a certain amount of free time in a day, and I usually prefer to spend it online rather than watching TV, for example. At least while I'm on the computer I'm being somewhat productive, and it keeps me from snacking and gaining weight!
