need ideas on better ways to lose weight

Ok im 24 years old, i have always been "chubby" there was a time in highschool that i was running cross country and also had a slight eating disorder, i loved the way i looked. I got pregnant and have gained some weight. Im not sure what the probelm is i can fit into decent size clothes but the scale shows me numbers that i dont like, ive tried dieting, eating less, walking, exercise, diest pills, curvces, tae bo, etc etc. Is there anything out there that acutally works? not nessceraly a diet in itself or a pill or medication is there any form of workout that i can try thats not going to cost me a whole paycheck just to find out it doesnt work? any ideas would be greatly appreacaited.

1) Try to run for 30 minutes a day for 3 months continuosly 2) Reduce the dinner food
