I love hearing happily ever after love stories! How did you meet your spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, or fiance? My husband and I met in college. We worked together for a year but never said more than hi. I started talking to him and ended up asking him out.

in my case, the gurl courted me.. really! i mean, im not that hunky or handsome or something.. but its like an agreement we tried if our relationship will work out. it so happened, she was the one who asked me the line:" so can we be us?"I was shocked by this thinking i must be the one asking this line. and so i said "okay.." but then our relationship did not go on smoothly.. instead, it became destructive of the relationship that we first have.. now, we are both free again, and trying out to patch and fix the broken friendship..

I also love hearing this.I do not have a romantic story thigh. We actually met at the pub and I was very drunk. I ended up at his table, we started talking and we ended up a few people at my house for an afterparty =) That was almost a year ago and he never left again.... I have been one of those who always though that it is impossible to find true love out at bars - but i proved myself wrong. he really is my true love =)

Jake, my husband, and I met in 2001. I was coming home from a college visit with my best friend, and we stopped at a guy friend's house, who went to school in a different town. Jake was actually this friend's best friend, though we didn't know Jake. He was sitting in the basement fixing my friend's computer, and didn't really say much to me at all. A few days later, on MSN, I had an "add request" from him. I didn't recognizeit, but added him anyway. I believe his first words were "you seem so smiley." I thought that was funny, because the one thing I noticed about his appearance was his amazing smile (though he swears his teeth are too crooked- they're off centered. like I noticed)! We talked a lot, about interests and how I met his best friend. We became close really quickly. So he asked me if he could see me again sometime. We decided that the best time for our firsthug (I know, corny, right?) was at McPrayer (a youth gathering at McDonalds) in his hometown (an hour away from my hometown), which was held at 6am on Friday mornings. So, my best friend and I went. And I got the most incredible hug in my life. Then we began talking on the phone. He went away to college that year, an I am a year younger. We realized that every Tuesday my parents were gone for dart league, so he would call after my younger sister was put to bed (i babysat), and we would talk for hours. He surprised me for my 18th birthday party, after saying he couldn't go (which started a tradition of some sort of surprise for every one of my birthdays). I met his family, and they fell in love with me, and I with them. He came to every party we ever had after that, my friends and I. I've spent every new year's eve with him since I've known him. He learned to play my favorite song on guitar, and then surprised me at my house one night, playing it beneath my window. We were still only best friends. After a week long christian music festival, outdoor, the following summer, we realized we were in love. We started dating after I went to college. He continued doing super romantic surprise dates (I have a post about romantic dates, you should see it!). In 2003, we were walking my family's new dog on a visit home from college, when he told me he could see himself being with me forever. Two days later, I got my first kiss from him, which was a HUGE deal, because I always told him not to mislead me, if he was ever going to kiss me, it had to be the REAL thing. I knew that day, that I would marry him. *sigh* And I did. On August 5, 2006. That was the short version. ;)

My bf and I met in junior high 7th grade to be exact. He was cute but I wasnt into boys quite yet. Through the years we liked each other on and off but never dated. After highschool I ran off and did my own thing leaving most of my friends behind. When I found myself in a situation at the age of 20 I reconnected with old friends and ran into him. Still good looking and better yet SINGLE. We started hanging out and from then until now have been dating off and on ever since more on than off. Our relationship is crazy, chaotic, whacky, caring, loving and just plain different. Our friends and family dont understand it but for us it works and at this moment in time I wouldnt have it any other way.
