"I will carry on fighting to clear her name," said Mary Martin who still vividly remembers being taunted in the playground in 1944 as "witch spawn."

Interesting story. I was shocked to begin with, then reading it made perfect since to me. However I think they could have handled it a bit differently.
What do you think, has this been a bit over due?
Could you imagine being the daughter or grand child of this poor women?
Thanks in advance.

Yes it's strange and disturbing story, it's amazing that she knew about these things and at a time of war she was rightfully considered as a dangerous person but as you said there must have been better ways to handle this.. I really can't form a clear opinion about supernatural things but apparently it happens sometimes although we have no logical explanations.
Thanks for sharing the story :)

I came accross this when checking my mail and I had to read it. I would have thought this would have been taken care of years ago? Any way as always, thanks for the reply.

I think this is LONG overdue. Considering Gerald Gardner came forward as a witch very shortly after the bans were lifted. And I'm not sure he's even still alive. She should have been pardoned as soon as the ban was lifted. It is absolutely asinine that this has gone on this long. The people there should be outraged that such a travesty of justice has gone on.
