I feel this parasitic growth of Bangalore is the main cause for the traffic and infrastructure problems. What do u guys have to say on this?

I have lived in BLR for 6 years(2000 to 2006). I noticed that till 2002 it was very cool as far as the traffic and infrastructure problems, but till then it had been a mess. I would like to correct brahulprasad's comment and say that it is not only the parasitic growth of Bangalore but also the huge inflow of indian and foreign population that is responsible for the increasing traffic problems and bad infrasrtucture. This rate of emmigration is more than the rate in which the infrastucture is improved or expanded. As far as the traffic is concerned, I feel that the increasing affodability of 4-wheelers in India since the end of 2002 and the slashing car loan interests is another major factor for uncontrolled traffic. There are more cars then people. Also the Bangalore police is in no way trained to controll traffic if you compare them with their Bombay, Delhi or Kolkata counterparts. Even the road planning is very poor. You have very less option for alternative routes if you are struck in traffic. The road network is very poor. Roads are not interconnected properly...is what I mean.

Being a Capital city of Karnataka, Bangalore deserves rapid growth. Dont worry Traffic problem will be solved very soon, as there are many Ring roads pheripheral ring roads, Metrol rail system will be thrown open to public.
