Roberto Baggio is considered to be one of the World's most gifted athletes. To me and many millions of other soccer fans, Roberto Baggio is the greatest soccer player in the game today. In 1993 he was named Europe's best by journalists, world's best by coaches and European footballer of the year.Before World Cup 1994 he was unanimously regarded as the world's best soccer player in which he plays the position of forward. Italians refer to Baggio as "divino codino," or "heavenly ponytail. He smashed the competition in a contest for the prettiest players ever in English and World football in recent years.
