On my stay here in myLot, I never have seen a technical discussion posted. Maybe I'm just too lazy to look around. But I think geeky people could use myLot as a launching pad in opening up a technical discussion about matters such as Programming in Java.

It's a good Idea.. I have seen a lot of discussion sites about programming for example and they offer membership w/ monthly/annual payment before you could see the answers of the members.. With myLot, it would be the other way around.. People will get payed whey they ask or answer a question

I am also of the view that more and more technical discussion should take place in mylot. This will improve the visibility of the mylot.

Ya it is true. I have also observed that nobody is engaged in technical discussions nor have started anyone. I think technical people always their time in field so they do not find enough time for computer whereas the person working on office finds very much time and in between work she/he can visit mylot and respond the discussions. Even at home someone can try to respond.

From my experience in mylot what i feel is that this is not the place for technical discussions. Even if you start one the maximum response you would get is 5 or 7. At the same time if the question is something like "Do you watch TV" or "Do you use orkut" and similar type of other questions the response would be very high. It would go up to 150 or more. Is this because those who responded such discussion got no time to input their views to some serious discussions? I am not sure. I still feel that for such technical discussions Yahoo Answers or similar service are the best.
