War in the bedroom

Me and my husband are living in a situation of an everyday war in the bedroom. He has this issue about mosquitos. If there is at least one mosquito in the room, he always gets biten. So in order to sleep calmly my husband closes the window and turns on the ventilator on full speed in order for them not to be able to land on him. I hate to sleep with the closed window suffocating in the stuffy air. Besides, because of that ventilator i get sinusites a few time per year. Nose&head is my weak place. And pretty often I even have to go for antibiotics. The worst thing is that my husband doesnt want to use any alternative ways to protect himself from mosquitoes like eletric fumigators or lotions. He says that it doesn´t work. And I am sick of getting ill all the time. What can I do?

I can sympathize with your husband. I'm like that with mosquitoes too. I'll be the only one in a room to be bitten, and many times. I also get very allergic to them. my skin gets very puffy and I start to feel bad. I also don't like to use ways to protect myself. I have tried everything and nothing seems to fully work. You also don't know how good that stuff (DEET, and whatever) is for your health. I don't think you are supposed to use it very often. Good luck. I don't know what to tell you, but like I said I do understand how your husband feels.

thank you for the reply it is proven, really, that the big amount of vitamin B in your blood repells the mosquitos that was what i suggested to him he also rejected this offer, saying that he won´t give up to a ventilator for nothing honestly, i start getting very frustrated, looks like sleeping with aventilator for him is more important than sleeping with me gonna put him if fron of this dilemma tonight, let´s see how it goes

why does he have to close the windows? don't you have screens on them? if you don't, then you should have them. i too will never be comfortable aleeping with all windows closed. and about that full-speed ventilator, try sleeping someplace else inside your room which is not too directly blown by the ventilator, say, in a couch. if you don't have one in the room, try to put one or get yourself a foldable mattress for you to use at night.

The only thing that you could do is sleep in a mosquito net. It is the best, my hubby is the same he cannot sleep even if a single mosquito bites him
