I am thinking about starting a craft website, but I have no idea how to start. Do I have to know HTML? How much does this normally cost? I already have Paypal account so I am sure I can use that, Anyone have a craft website that can give me some pointers, I really want to do this soon.

I sell custom made doll clothes for American Girl and Bitty Baby Dolls on eBay. Have you looked into that possibility. The fees are a bit high, but normally for someone to host your website it is about $30-40 a month. Ebay is lower than that. I have been selling for about3 years. My seller name is lonewolfer54. Check it out.

You don't need to know html at all, a lot of websites come with a WYSIWYG editor, which means 'what you see it what you get' and its no harder than crating a page in word or publisher or any of the common word processing packages. If you havent built a site before, why not have a go using Geocities? Its free, its really simple to use and you can get a feel for what is involved before you consider paying ofr hosting and getting a domain name all of your own. Have a go, its good fun and a great way to share what you do.

I started one a couple of years ago, it's quite hard to get it started but there are so many companies out there that have templates for you to use but you can also add your own ideas aswell. If you know html it does help, but not essential. I've got the web site address that you can use. You need a domain name to get stated but it's so cheap. WWW.123-reg.co.uk you can just take a look and see what you think.

You can get it started for a very small amount of money. Like your earnings from mylot but your biggest obstacle will be learning html. One hint I can give you is, ..... If it starts with it, then it ends with it. You'll figure it out. If you have any questions along the way then you can feel free to drop me a message. I don't mind helping.

You can sell your crafts on http://www.etsy.com . It's very easy to set up and the listing fees are low. I have sold quite a few things on there since I joined last year.

Yes, you have to know HTML if you want a really good looking website. There are plenty of "free templates" out there that you can use. If you need any info, just let me know.
