Have you ever noticed that because someone had known you since ou were little they assume that you need their advice whenever they decide to give it, regardless of your feelings? Does this happen to you, if so how do you stop it?

Some people are like that. They treat you atime as if you are still a kid forgoting that youg shall grow. There is nothing you can do to stop them from giving you advice but to ignore them. Age is not directly proportional to wisdom. Be wise and seek for advice when you need one.

Oh, I can listen and then not do anyting about it it's just I'd like a way to stop them before they start. It's even worse when they check up to see if you took the advice too, lol
