I am 20tomorrow and i have been working since i was 15. For the past 3months i have been looking for a job. I live in great yarmouth which has a bad job rate. I have had 2interviews both of which were unsuccesful. I have sent out hundreds of C.V which havent been answered!! Now i am thinking No wonder people cant be bothered to work because i am feeling so low that i am not good enough for these jobs!! Even a little cleaning one!! What can people do? i just feel like giving up on the search, although i know realistically i cant because i have bills and a morgage to pay!

Have you tried agenies? I've always found them quite good for finding something temporary while looking for something better, depends what you're looking for though really - in Yarmouth Manpower on the quay is quite good! Maybe you should get someone to take a look at your cv to see if there's anything that could be done to improve it? Happy Birthday for tomorrow!

I feel for you. I really really do. I am pretty much in the same boat as you. Here is my situation. I am 22, a single mom of a 2 year old girl. I have been out of work since November 2005, have had 5 or 6 interviews since, was hired for one job, but fired the first day because we had an ice storm and my doors were frozen and the locks were frozen. I live in my grandparents attic, I was engaged to be married and that was just called off recently. I am depressed because at age 22 I should be married, living on my own, have a career.......you know? But right now, I am doing laundry for my neighbors and am working on starting a gift basket business. I also babysit occasionally on the side. Just do what you do.....What are some things you like to do? What are some things you are good at? MAybe I can help you make a plan. A list of ideas you could try. Let me know! Huggers and good luck!

i have been through college and achieved a national diploma in animal management. I was working for a pet rehoming place which kept promising me this that and the other and also a wage, I have left this place now. I am wanting to go into IT but can not afford college or uni at the moment so i was thinking to try and get into it through working in a computer shop or something but all the ones i apply in do not need anyone at the moment, or you need a qualification! I had one interview for a data input clerk which i had a letter through today saying i didnt get it hence me feeling down:-( I am currently working in sports doing 1hour sessions here and there but i do not like this job. I can't quit it due to the fact i need the money so im searching while working. As soon as some one says your hired Im leaving lol.

When I got divorced from hubby I was on crap benefit for my injured back and technically homeless. I started slowly slwoly online and now I am lucky enough to be doing wekll enough to register as self employed. I am going next week to see a financial advisor.tax man to see whether I should open a limited company or not. You will be surprised what can be under your nose and you can work for yourself and be independent and not have to rely on the local economy , or the lack of it to prosper. I am working with peole from all over the world at the moment and this moment we speak am venturing into even greater things.. I can give you some advice to build up your income online..slowly and steadily, without making the same mistakes I did..So you can be where I am in six months instead of two years it took me.. Here is my blog so you can see an idea as to what I do.. http://unityblog1.blogspot.com/ You can also do whatever hobbies and studies you do on the side..be your OWN BOSS..

I am so sorry that you are having such a rough time getting a job! I see this was posted 6 months ago and I hope that since then your situation has improved and that you are on a more even keel. If not don't give up , even when it seems really bleak there is always light at the end of the tunnel - I know from past experience! Thinking of you! xxx
