When do we really live? NOW, or while we sleep ???

What if when we go to sleep, we are actually living and when we wake up we are sleeping and dreaming on the other side? What if what we call life is actually the dream of the real life? A great writter once said : "Life is the dream of our soul." Can this be possible? I hope i am comprehensive.
