Frustrating interview (SAHM)

I have been a stay at home mom for approximately five years full time and a few years prior to that part time. I am a VERY good worker and everywhere I have ever worked as asked me to come back after I left. My youngest is about to start back to school so I have started looking again. Friday I had an interveiw that made me so mad. On my resume I have jobs that I've done at home. The interviewer asked me how much I made at each job and because my amount went down (working at home gets paid less than outside the home) he said that that scares him that I have not gone up in the cooporate world, I've gone down. I explained to him it was my choice to stay home with my baby and I chose to take less money working from home to do it. Because of this I'm not going to get the job. It really frustrates me that people assume that because I chose family over work that I am not a good worker argggghhhh.

Well its obvious that the man has no idea what it is like to have children and have to care for them. I personally made alot of money in my outside the home job but gave it up because the daycare my kids went to started to really upset me with the way they ran things, so I pulled them out to work at home. I went from makeing 2500-3000 part-time to a measly maybe 400-500 a month. But let me tell you I was in a sales job(comm. only) that paid great but was very stessfull and I took work home with me. Im a struggling to make ends meet sometimes but I value my children more than money and so do you. This did not make you go down and dont let this a-hole get to you. Take care and good luck!!!!
