I collect quotes, and I'm always looking for things people have said that really just hit it right on the head or move me to live a better life. What are some of your favorite quotes (along with who said them or wrote them, if you know) and what have they meant to you or how they motivated you?

NEVER regret anything you did in your past, or anyone you loved, becuase at one moment in time, it was EXACTLY what you wanted, even if now it's caused you some pain.

"Perfect love is rare indeed - for to be a lover will require that you continually have the subtlety of the very wise, the flexibility of the child, the sensitivity of the artist, the understanding of the philosopher, the acceptance of the saint, the tolerance of the scholar and the fortitude of the certain." ~Leo Buscaglia~

Here's a favorite of mine related to work: "The sad news is, nobody owes you a career. Your career is literally your business. You own it as a sole proprietor. You have one employee: yourself." - Andrew S. Grove Here's one related to life, in general: "I cannot believe that the purpose of life is to be happy. I think the purpose of life is to be useful, to be responsible, to be compassionate. It is, above all to matter, to count, to stand for something, to have made some difference that you lived at all." - Leo Rosten And a final one to ponder: " 'There are no atheists in foxholes' isn’t an argument against atheism, it’s an argument against foxholes." - James Morrow Source(s): p.s. - How could I forget about this one by Col. John Boyd (Air Force): One day you will come to a fork in the road. And you're going to have to make a decision about what direction you want to go."[Boyd] raised his hand and pointed. "If you go that way you can be somebody. You will have to make compromises and you will have to turn your back on your friends. But you will be a member of the club and you will get promoted and you will get good assignments." Then Boyd raised the other hand and pointed another direction. "Or you can go that way and you can do something - something for your country and for your Air Force and for yourself. If you decide to do something, you may not get promoted and you may not get the good assignments and you certainly will not be a favorite of your superiors. But you won't have to compromise yourself. You will be true to your friends and to yourself. And your work might make a difference." He paused and stared. "To be somebody or to do something. In life there is often a roll call. That's when you will have to make a decision. To be or to do? Which way will you go?"

"Our minds are as different as our faces: We are all traveling to one destination; happiness; but few are going by the same road" Charles Calen Colton... That means to me, everyone wants to be happy, however, not everyone is being positive about the situations that life itself throws at you, which could be anything. Something always get you down or worrying...Just be positive keep your head up through your life journeys...
