Have you ever wondered whats the business behind Mail-In-Rebate? Do the Manufacturers that provide Mail-In-Rebate experience profit or Loss? I alway think abt that and was confused. Lets discuss abt what you ppl feel abt that here!

I must say I am a mail in rebate junkie. I have saved hundreds of dollars through rebate offers. Like the other person said it is a way for store not lower their prices but when it is people like me that will call and talk with the rebate company if I have not gotten my rebate in the time frame promised is the one that get the company panties in a bunch. I mean it is a great way to get products at a reduce price and in some cases free. I love rebates :)

They have Mail-In-Rebates instead of lowering the price because something like 75% of people never send in the rebate forms, so the companies do better then if they just had a sale.
