Gastro in Cats/Kittens

I have a 5 yo cat and a 12 week old kitten, both have bad diareer and vomitting, I have changed there diet heaps and nothing seems to settle it down. Me and my husband and my 2 yo son have had bad gastro twice in the past 2 months, I'm just wondering if humans can catch gastro from cats and cats pass gastro on to other cats. I'm all out of ideas..

THe cats need to be checked by a vet..they have some kind of virul illness and while humans can't pass illnes to cats they can pass to humans..make sure ou wash your hands thouroughly..clean all of their area with a water/bleach solution to disenfect it..A 12 week old kitten should not be eating the same food as a 5 year old..cat..one still needs kitten food...
