computers for seniors

My blogs encourage them, some have them already, but what use is encouraging them in blogs when they never see those blogs? and don't know anything about computers and don't really want to. Fortunately, some really do and a trend will spread. It's an individual approach that is required and getting them online at home.
I'm sure many would love it once they get started. What do you think and who will pay?

I don't think blogs will encourage anyone to use the copmuter - except for maybe teenagers. People need to find a reason to use the computer. Once they do, they might learn more about what a computer can do for them. I think people should learn how things they already do can be made easier by a computer.

Well said, sedel, although I think just restricting your views to teenagers is a bit narrow. Your other points are well made.
And teenagers have families and families have seniors and more seniors etc etc and some teenagers are already parents and on and on and around and around it goes.
I'd like to see some encouragement given to those who are lacking in computer skills and pointing out the benefits of and things that are made easier by computers is a very good point.
Thank you for your thoughtful response. Let's hear from some others.
