We all do this without thinking and it is so SOO simple.
My boyfriend watched this movie for the first time a week before we met. Both of us were looking for a partner with similar personalities and a longing for adventure...and it just happened. We are both ENTJs and have a wonderful time together, whether we are tearing up Hollywood late at night or staying in on a Sunday afternoon in our PJs.
He didn't say anything at first, but broke down and showed me "the secret" within a week of meeting me. I will admit that I wasn't that impressed by the film or concept, as it's more about common sense and rationalizing your life, status, ambitions...and using your emotions to positively motivate you, and wasn't an actual SECRET. Since then, though, we have ALWAYS gotten that ideal parking spot, come into extra spending money at opportune times, etc. Life is so wonderful...especially when all it takes to feel that way is simply convincing yourself of it.
I was also interested in the fact that all of the old, dead famous people they referenced were related to the Freemasons in some way. :D

It's an old concept, but I thought that the presentation was delightful. I come from a non-traditional Christian perspective and I thought that it told a simple truth very clearly. My biggest objection was the focus on "getting stuff". But then I realized that that's what will get people at least going in the right direction. It really is true that sometimes the things that you think will bring you peace and contentment, bring pain.
