i just heard a horror story about a lady who was really sick. The trouble was that she went to her dontor's office and had to wait for over 3 hours. Then she said the doctor had an emergency and had to leave, but as she was driving out hte parking lot, she saw the doctor sitting in the lobby of the building chatting. Ok, emergencies happen and maybe he really did have one. but a 3 hour wait? Anyone out there have an efficient doctor where they rarely have to wait. If not, how long is your usual wait time?

I usually visit this lady doctor near where I live and when I am really sick I feel safer to be treated by her because she gives me medicines that really work usually. But unfortunately most times the queue is very long and I have to wait more than an hour sometimes two, to see her. When there is an emergency however, the nurse will inform her and she will guage the seriousness of the patient's condition and see him/her first. Also, she is really interested in her patients and do not rush thru her examination which I think is good.

I take my daughter to the local pediatrian office, and the wait can be very long. That is why I make her appointments for early morning, less people. They like to make atleast 3 appointments for the SAME time, that way they can get more people in. Yet it always results in a half hour wait or more after the appointment time.

I have a wonderful doctor, takes time, will try alternatives to medication where possible, she is only young but really seems to care.
