I could sit for hours with my grandparents and listen to the stories they told. Some made you feel very lucky and some changed my life forever. Do you enjoy hearing all their stories?

yes i love to listen to stories of the past. when my grandfather was alive i would drive him once a week to his sisters house wre all of his eleven sibling would meet and just tell stories of the past. i miss thoses days. i was just starting to drive at the time but wouldnt have rather driven anywhrere else on that day and would have made the drive ever day if id have been asked. the one regret i have is my kids will never hear those stories the way i did. Noone could ever tell them the way they did.

I used to love listening to my Grandparents stories. They are gone now but I still remember the stories. We took a tape recorder and still have the tape. It is so wonderful to listen to the stories again and hear their voices. You have me in tears just thinking of Grandma and Granddad.

I love to listen to my Grandma, she is 87 years old. She has lived through so many things in life and is a wealth of knowledge.

Yes she has lived through a lot and can tell you many things so great that you still have her around. Maybe think about what one of the other responder said about tapping her stories. I thought it was a great idea...

They will, just share the stories with them ,just as your grandparents did with you. As a kid I never thought about passing on my grandparents stories but I do now.

I LOVE listening to elderly people tell me stories. While most people get annoyed, I could sit and listen for days! I love to hear about how things used to be and how different life was. It's very interesting to me.

Although I spent quite a lot of time with my grandparents, they never talked very much about the past, but I loved to listen to my mum as she discussed all the pranks she got up to, and about also about her school days. Now, I pass all the stories on to my grandchildren and they enjoy listening so much, that they always ask for me to tell them about the old days before they go to bed at night.

Yes, I love listening to my grand parents and before my great parents passed loved listening to them. I love hearing how they grew up or something that tickled them so much. It's really cool because they get a chance to go back down memory lane. I could listen to them for hours on how things were in their day and age, or something I did as a child. I love it...

I love it! I have been doing genealogy research for about 2 years and I send random questions to the older relatives. I did not want my family tree to look like a data sheet. Instead I will have their stories and pictures.
