How do you recruit?

So I know a lot of people say they earn a lot of their mylot money by recruiting other people to join mylot. I have attempted this for a couple weeks now and have only received 1 referral. I was wondering how other members of mylot go about recruiting people and getting them to join? any ideas for the rest of us?

I'm usually tell my friends first about myLot, Then If they interested, I ask for their email address and write it at the "invite new friends" link (it's a link in left under side) Until now, I still just got 3 friends.

hmm ya i tried that but none of my friends really like blogging so it didnt work very well.
