i dont know about any of you, but i think that it was a bad move on the yankees behalf. Sheffield was a true yankee an a great player, sure he was getting up there in age and physcall, but he wanted to retire in less then 2 years and he wanted to retire with the yankees. He didnt get much of a chnace to play last year due to injury and then abreu, but hi playing the time that he did then will be thesame amnount of imehe will play for the tigers. they dhouldnt have traded him. i am so frustrated at the fact that they would do so. what do you think?

For all the talk that he was trouble, Sheffield produced big time when he was healthy in the Bronx, especially considering Yankee Stadium ain't great for a righty power hitter. But he has had injuries the last few years, and really couldn't play throught them last year. One of the pitchers they got in the trade better pan out though.

gary sheffield was a no show last year... no offense to the guy, he's a very good player, buthe's been on the injured list for much of last season. The arrival of abreu meant sheffield is expendable. I think the yankees made the right choice in trading him...
