Why is it that people leave their country, very own motherland to make money??

Friends, its been seen that many big brains of our country are working in foreign countries which benefits the other country. BrainDrain is a major blockage towards our nations development & it seems that our civic authorities are least bothered about it.
Many People who work abroad feel that they don't need to return to their motherland & try to obtain a greencard. What they dont realize is its them on whom others are capitalizing. Today India would have been a developed country & not a still developing if these migrants have stayed back and worked here, for the country. Why go abroad when I do good in my own country? It would also benefit my motherland.
We think what difference can I make alone? But the fact is if we all do play our small but important roles, INDIA will shine like no other.

As i think the main factor of why people leave their country and works abroad is money. Well why should you earn a nickles if you can earn thousands :) If a "big bran" (as you called them) can work in India for very poor oney and help develop their motherland ,they have to work in poor conditions and poor salary . And since they are smart they are needed on the other countries when they coudl work for much bigger salary , live in a higher standard and have a very decent labolarotry ,staff and equipement to do what the love to do so why shouldn't they go and have a good live?
I'm not from India but in my country it is the same - the smartest "big brains" leave and work for foreign countries and helps them to develop technologies cause in my country national science is on quite low level

It is always like that. People think it is their prestige to go abroad and earn there. In india even though you are a software project manager, they say oh thats it? but when the forgien return comes to india they say he is forgien return even though they dont know what he does in States.
Other countries respect all the jobs and they pay good for all the jobs. India is different big post but still medium salary. That s why people ditch their country and run away. They still live there even though they work as a toilet cleaner in stateds. Because the money they get would be more than a manager gets. Thats why.

Yes i fully agree with you. But we should consider the Economy also. Here if you want to have break fast u will spend max 20Rs. but in US u have to spend in $. I mean we get more in US compared to india and we spent more also in US. I think comparitively earning in India and US is same. Only thing Resect to the person is less in india. Corruption is more these are the main reasons why people leves india.
What do you say ? In Tolilet cleaner gets more respect then the project manager in india. this is the main problem i feel

I agree with anju pay wise and kid care wise US has more facilities. Both parents can work while kid is taken care of by efficient daycare system. You get money for each child you have-education is more practical and project based. My own brother in law, brother have chosen to settle down in states because of these facilities. Both were Highly quialified and here they were not getting salary fit for their qualifications. Even people employing them were more in to keeping their contributions low profile. The moment they gave their resignmation, their managers offered to increase their salaries , they refused because of partial policies ogf the management were quite evident to them by then. Now they are happy with the decisions they have taken and have chosen to remain there. They already are owners of houses in suburbs and own cars and their kids are getting best of education and care. Since they do not now have parents back home to look after they are not obliged to return too to settle here. India lost two hardworking workers to mismanagaed policies and corruption.

I am from the philippines and still live here. I have a good paying job that can support my family but i still have dreams of going to a diferent country in order to give more to my family. i guess thats one of the major reasons people pursue careers in a different country. i cant blame them.
i also believe that one way or another they are helping their country. they send the money they earn to their family (who most of the time stay in their country) and that helps the economy as well since dollar comes in.
but if i do get the chance to go to US or Canada or other countries where i can get the opportunity to earn more, ill definitely go back to the philippines. this is my home.

I agree with you dude as I'm also from Philippines although I'm working abroad I still miss Philippines. The only reason that I went out is to give my family a decent living, as i find it hard to find a good paying job there. The only regret is your family is far from you

If it is India that we are talking about then of course it can be said that the poor infrastructure which is the bottleneck in almost every area in the country does the trick here too! There are just a few premier institutes and a mind boggling demography most of which is young! The easy education loans are getting more and more students from this part of the world to the various other well-to-do countries!

Sometimes its becomes ones necessity to go abroad to make money but sometimes its the peoples choice. I do not support people who go by choice. If everybody will leave the country then what will be the future of that nation..if every talented person leaves. Our country needs good talents who can serve the country. greetings. : )

It just because other country can pay us more than our country. I personally will get out of my country if another people in other country recruit me you know we need money. If we work in our own country might it will take all of our time to get rich in other country we can rich fastest.

yes u right india contains 100,00,00,000 + people in these people 25% of people are professional workers in these opertunity is less in order take opertunity people going abroad and they work and earn the money

if only o had a choice i would rather not go out of the country to work...but i feel not well compensated and i gave a family to support thats why im trying my luck out of my country...i feel so sad bout it but its the reality...

it is the lack of opportunity here to implement their potential to its fullest limit.people dont get much opportunity here in india.with the growth in all the sectors now there hasbeen a stop to this.but it is mainly the lack of opportunity that led poeple fly to other country and work there.thanks

I feel its not really abt money for some people ,they jsut feel that they would be better respected jsut bcoz they are abroad and their talent would be credited...working in India or any other under-developed country doesnt mean that one should lower his self-esteem ...what i want to say..some people feeel that true worth is in another country and they want to secure their future so that in comind days they would be least assured abt their family and dreams...after all money makes the mare go round....

It can be understandable that people in poorer countries will want to get away from poverty and corruption, and if they afford to do so, why should they be denied the ability to try? There are number of reasons why workers and professionals move to richer countries
-Lack of promotional prospects
-Poor management
-Heavy workload
-lack of facilities
-High level of voilence and crime
PROSPECTS FOR:
Better remuneration
Upgrading Qualification
gaining experience
A safer environment, and
Family related matter

corporations and businesses dont care about there people, i dont have any other way of puttin it besides that they only think of themselves... i mean look at michigan. our economy sucks so bad because of delphi and gm. they moved to foreign countries so they could make top dollar off of their products now our whole state is in the can. i am 19 years old and cant get a job anywhere because all the people that used to work at these places now work at gas stations and all that people thats the only jobs they can get now! i really hate how people act and leave everyone else to hurt while they get rich! my uncle used to work at delphi in saginaw,mi and now hes workin at a gas station not having enough money to pay his bills! its crazy.
