My husband is involved in a blind study to try a new pill about quiting smoking. Well he has maybe reduced his consumption to 3/4 a pack a day instead of a pack a day. I think he is getting the placebo. What do you guys think?

is he taking Chantix? if so, it slowly takes away the urge to smoke so he will smoke less and less as time goes on. but when he goes off of it sadly the urges to smoke come back.

it`s a medicine to quit smoking that you need a prescription from your doctor for.

Doesn't it have nicotine in it? So he doesn't go into complete withdrawls?

I am not sure. But if it is working, who cares, right? I wish him luck. It is a very difficult habit to kick, as it is very addicting. He has to be very strong willed. Blessings. M&M

I understand dear. But it has to come from him, as it is so very addictive. Pray for him.

Well I hope it works I am trying to bin the smoking and I am using the Patches, I have the problem though that they keep coming of and I have to use tape to keep them on. It is so annoying as I sometimes think why bother if they don't stay on.
