American Idol or Rockstar INXS

american idol starts today (i miss simon cowell)
just want to know on your opinion which would you preferred American idol or Rockstar INXS? well i know american idol is more popular than ROCKSTAR but for me i preferred Rockstar INXS coz im more on rock music, how about you what would you choose?

Ah, I love them both. American Idol is more popular, but Rockstar INXS has a lot more edginess and mature content to it. I wasn't interested in watching Rock Star INXS at first, but when I heard one of my friend's best friends (Heather Lutrell) was a contestant, I started watching it. I've met Heather before and saw her perform local, so I thought it would be neat to watch her compete. Not only did I like her performances, but I really started liking the show. I started rooting for the one everyone loved to hate; JD. He ended up winning too :-). So, yes, I like them both. I think I prefer Rockstar INXS a bit more though because of the music. Great discussion!

I'm a sucker to both shows, but when it comes to talent, i think Rockstar INXS' contestants have more on that. Some AI's contestants are only interpreting the song. Rockstar INXS' contestants do more than just singing, they do composing too.

I like both show actually. But American Idol is more versatile coz they cater to all types and genres of music while INXS is more for the rocker.
