when and who should u tip

so we always tip our waitresses if theres good service..but should we tip out hair stylists..or our maids,,the guys at fullserve gas stations..why is that the pple who work at fastfood restraunts never get tipped...they do serve us to..ive been told the other day that i should tip the guys pumping my gas and i really started to think about who i should be tipping...what do u figureÉwho shoudl we be tipping and why or whynotÉ

I tip waitresses (cause I use to be one), the hair stylist and the pizza guy. That's about it. I don't have anyone who pumps gas for me, unless you count my hubby and I tip him all the time lol.

mind boggling.. but i could share to u my experience to that, i used to be a service crew in a 24 hour convenience store.. one of our customers was too greatful of my service and she want me to keep her change. but i refused.. not for a pride but for the fact that's we're not allowed to keep it. it was stated in the contract. its must be the same with other fastfood/restaurant staff. but i think if someone provided you the best service u could ever think of and that satisfies you, regardless of nature of his/her job (and they are allowed to keep tips),and u feel like rewarding them through giving a tip.. i should say, do it!
