I love Harry Potter...I am 6/6 in books (I have read each about 20 times) and 4/4 in movies. I prefer the books to the movies because they have more detail and it leaves the lots of things up to your imagination. The movies kind of ruined that for me :(

I prefer the books too, and I've read them all at least as many times as you, and will certainly go through them at least once more before book seven comes out!

both the movies and the books have their own different merits. The script of the movies are summed up from the book. The HP movies are adapted from the books but they are not exactly as much content filled as the books. Its not possible to script the whole story into such short duration of movie

hey i have seen all the four movies but have not read a single book. The books are costly in my views and also I usually avoid reading any kind of books.

I don't think you're correct about them all being made and not released. I think that it is good business sense to strategically determine a release date and promotional plan, but I don't think that either the books or movies wait for long before being released. I think there would be a huge stampede of fans otherwise!

I have read all the books and watch all the movies. I prefer reading the books than watching the movies, because the books is more complete and detail. I love harry potter !!

I have seen all of the movies ( I am addicted to them just like my 4 year old son), but I have only read one book. I have to admit I prefer the books if you are going with the layout, but for visuals I prefer the movies. I don't know where to begin when it comes to the books.

I've read all the books a couple of times. I have a set of them. Usually when a new one is about to come out I will start rereading the series to refresh myself on all the little tidbits I might have forgotten. I've also seen all the movies and own a copy of them on DVD. I pop them in a lot. Not so much the first one as often as the others but I watch them all periodically. They are easy to relax to.

I am 6/6 on the books and 3/4 on the movies. It's not that I don't want to see the 4th movie, just haven't gotten around to it. I have enjoyed the movies, particularly 1 and 2, but I don't feel the same sense of urgency about getting to them. I adore the books and reread them frequently. I find that I pick up new nuances with multiple readings, and even though I've read them multiple times I still enjoy them very much. Now that the fifth movie is coming out, I guess I'll need to hurry up and see the fourth!
