Is it all about the engagement ring??

My friend recently got engaged and bought a 1carat princess cut diamond and gold ring, it was alot of money!! i asked him way he didnt just buy a cheaper one, and he told me that she wont accept it. WHAT THE HELL!! Why is the engagement ring such a big deal, im just wondering?

I'm not trying to be rude, but once I told my boyfriend that if he wants to propose me, he have to propose me with a 2 carats diamond rings =p It's not that I really want it, but somehow, I just want to see if he's really going to work hard for it or not. If later he propose me with a ring without a diamond, it's okay anyway =)
Also, as a woman, once in my life I want to have a nice diamond ring too... For marriage is once in a lifetime, isn't? =P

OMG! I guess you should ask your friend if that girl loves him for his money. That was a very huge and unpractical for him. I guess the girl will marry him for his money.

Diamonds are a woman's best friend. its great to have something expensive once in a while. I think the lady deserves to experience them sometimes.

Thats obvious that the girl dont love him for real.I guess that girl is in love with the engagement ring not with the person who gave the engagement ring!i Hope your friend will wake in that such nightmare!
