Would you jump out of a perfectly good airplane?

I have always wanted to sky dive but would never do it alone. Before I moved to the east coast of Canada I lived in central Canada and had plans with some friends to sky dive but I move away and none of us ever did it and that was 30 years ago. Is it too late to try at 54?

OOOOOh WebMann I'd lurve to do that! As SP said we're not getting any younger so i'd better get off my butt too and explore the possibilities. Certainly not too late to try at 54. A friend of mine who's in her 80's did her first powered gliding flight a few months ago and she really loved it! See, there' hope for you! lol

If anything would make my heart stop in my chest it would be skydiving. I think even if the plane was going down in flames they would have to pry my hands loose and heave me out the door. Picture in your mind what it would be like to flush a cat down the toilet. Yep, there you go. That would be me, claws and all. lol

Well who knows, if I was to actually get up there and look out the door it might be the same thing.
I watched America's Funniest Videos and a guy was going to do a tandem jump and when it came time to move to the door he just about crumbled and wouldn't go out. He even started crying and he didn't jump.
But later he got up the nerve and actually did it.
I would only know when I got to the door to jump.

Absolutely. Looks like fun, and I've been wanting to do it for years. I guess I'd better get my butt up there soon. I'm sure not getting any younger here.
