dowry?

would you guys accept dowry during marriage? or would you demand it? what about you girls? would you willingly get married with someone who demands dowry?

i never would accept dowry. i am against it not because it is not a good practice worth following but because of the financial burden that would be imposed on the parents of the female under consideration.

If it were an arranged marriage, then a dowry would be appropriate. If I'm marrying the woman because I'm in love with her, then asking for one would be rude.

I think having a dowry is pretty much the same as buying yourself a wife and I don't agree with it.

delivery with dowry is good but delivery without dowry is not good because life will be more expensive after having a child
