what do you mean about 'ego'

what this 'ego' actually mean? I think its a kind of overconfidence. Buddies! share your opinion with me.

Ego isnt just overconfidence It is the barrer which makes you think you are right in your perception or the others are wrong Most of the time ego is destructive though sometimes it is effective!
