according to rumors why samurai x is made. he is based on the life of a true samurai warrior in the tokugawa era. that makes him real but although he's real still his powers are somewhat doubtable you see. it;s kinda hard that someone could do the stunts he had shown on the tv series.

Yeah, its a bit hard to believe the stunts he made, but as many of us know, the Martial Arts is an Ancient art and many peoples were really dedicated to it, which results in the existence of the Martial Arts in this era too.
As far as, concerning about the stunts, its just an anime, but even pictured superb.

i have read this from some japanesse book, i forgot where, that once in the tokogawa era there was once a prince that lived a life of a wanderer and perfected some sort of a samurai fighting style, and became a legend. and the author believed that samurai x, ruruni kenshin ( a tokogawa era romance) as its title was based on that story...

I've watched the whole series and it's also one of my favorites. It's true that he is based on a real life samurai. His ideals is what really made the story beautiful...not wanting to kill but fighting to protect your loved ones.
As for the stunts...well it is animation you know! hehehe! But there are some principles in kendo which are real and are depicted in samurai x like the difference in using the left foot to pivot and slash... it's really cool!

samurai x is cool man, it's kick *ss! kenshin himura is fighting again for what I understand is for redemption for the past sins that he committed. do you know who gave kenshin the x mark on his face?

I think thats disclosed in some of the episode of kenshin in the mid ones. In our city Animax was stopped airing due to which We didn't saw many superb and marvelous episodes of it.
I heard it from my friend who is in different city

I like this anime because of the story itself. I like his character because he faces his foes and never fails to bring peace to his country.

Kenshin is a great warior.But I can't understand why a tough samurai like him being pushed around by Kouru?
