Does Racism still exists......................................?

I belive it still exists. There are many people that I know who don't realize they are being racist because that is how there parents were. I live in a small town where until recently there were only whites and mexicans. I think the lack of interaction with other cultures is a big cause of racism. I have moved alot and have heard people in other areas speek badly of other races, and it's not just white people talking about blacks, honistly the group I have heard make racist remarks the most are blacks. I really think it's time to start treating everyone the same and stop thinking of people in terms of color or gender but start thinking of people as people equal members of the human race.

you are right....only whites are not racists,infact blacks are racist also....n thanks for your valuable response n one should think in terms of people as people not in terms of human race.

there are racism among white people...nowadays! and latest example is "shilpa shetty case" in "big brother reality show.a britsh actor harass her with th name of racism and it shows that white people still love to harras people from country like india,africa etc.as an indian i strongly protest those things.we dont have to allow that!and why they want to do this...
i dont blame all white people..i know there are good people also

i think you are absolutely wrong.Indian politicians must not have reacted to that incident like the way they did as this was bound to happen when shilpa had gone there.she has been paid handsome amount from the show and this drama created millions to know about that show.i think she did use abusive words about her,about india but they were only in her context not every indian.well we dont need to prove ourselves to them...v love the way we are and i m proud of being an indian.

thats something very good and i think everyone should have same attitude towards his/her life and towards other.but in reality it is not true in many cases even in the countries of blacks or in the countries dominated by whites.

Racism does still exist and I believe that it will always exist. It doesn't seem possible for people of all races to completely coexist without some problems. Even when we do not hear anything about it, it is still going on. Sometimes it involves our cops as I see it on the news from time to time or it involves employers. I have not directly seen any racism.

my father is racist. He says he isnt but then in certain aspects he says racist things. I think it is wrong but I think it is in everyone.

Oh it still exists. I was on the receiving end of it from a black guy when I was in college. Lets face it, as long as we still ask if someone is black or white or hispanic or asian or middle eastern, we are going to continue to have a problem with racism. It's unfortunate but true.
