Do you have allergies?

What are you allergic to? I did not used to have any allergies but they have developed as I have gotten older which is backwards. I am allergic to honey, cut grass, mold, anything with tylenol in it (acetaminophen) and most pain medications.

I used to have allergies when I was a teenager: the year of my GCSE exams is when my hayfever started, and it continued up until I had therapy for depression. I think that some allergies come about (like with mine) because of stress, and psychological issues. Other types come about because of diet, pollution and other lifestyle factors. Maybe it's one of these factors which is causing your allergies, or possibly a combination of the two. Hope that helps!

I agree I am starting to believe alot of these allergies are related to where I live because when I have lived other places I did not have the issues I do here.

I guess I am lucky. I have some mild allergies, but nothing to make my day miserable. Cut grass sometimes affects me. Maybe dust or mold might cause a sniffle or two. I might be allergic to some foods, but I am not sure because I haven't eaten them for so long. I don't know why they might be developing as you age.

I know it is strange how they have developed I asked the doctor and he just said a lot of it may have to do with where I live as I was not born here and certain environmental factors can contribute to allergies.

I'm allergic to many things sadly enough that affect other things in life. Like being allergic to iodine and sulfas (this includes sulfates, sulfides etc) and these are hidden in so many things including medicines, soaps, etc. I'm also allergic to bee/wasp stings and ant bites. Ants particularly seem to like to find me and bite. Even those little tiny brown ones that everyone swears do not bite, they do for me. Food wise I'm allergic to dairy products, liver, oysters, and peas. Now sea food bothers me but that is due to the iodine in it. Liver, peas and oysters cause my throat to close so I avoid those. Then we have the fun things of airborne...oh those are so much fun especially when you live in Florida and are allergic to so much that grows here, like citrus fruit trees, gardenias, honeysuckle, jasmine and roses. Of course some of these grow elsewhere but they grow a lot down here. Makes life so much fun. Of course add to this I can't be with anything that has feathers (including birds, pillows, boas, dusters). They can make life very interesting at times. I always have benedryl with me and an inhaler. It would be so much easier without all these things but then it might be boring too.

I'm the same way--none when I was younger, but now I'm extremely sensitive to dust, pollen and freshly cut grass. I had to give up my three cats because I couldn't breath when I went to change their litter box (the ammonia got to me).
