I just received this newsletter in the mail today about a new portable heater that can save you money on your electric bill and is portable and keeps the room it is in very warm. Has anyone heard of this portable heater before or does anyone own this? It seems really neat. What is your thought about the EdenPure. Here is the link for this heater. http://www.biotechresearch.com/epure_heater.php

This heater looks interesting, but I must say that the initial cost (about $400) is rather daunting. That is about a month and a half of heating cost for my home. I did a little searching and found this study on the heater's performance. Hope this helps you decide: http://www.infrared-heating.com/energystudy.htm

I did check out the sites that you mentioned and it was very interesting read and how poor of a rating it got. It is definitely not cheap but cheaper than replacing the whole air and heating unit in my home. I would only need it for the other bedroom in my townhouse so it may work. Thank you for the links.

We don't have one yet but we are going to get one when we get some money. My uncle bought one and at christmas time he had it in his garage and had the door open to the house. It really works. It was unbelieveable. Their garage isn't even insulated and it was really warm out there. I can't wait to get mine.

It is great to hear that this heater worked well for your uncle and your family. It sounds great. I am thinking about getting some kind of heater for my other bedroom since it does not heat or cool very well.

I have heard about the heater too, I have always wondered if it is as they say it is. I will have to keep an eye out on this discussion to see if you have any responses from people who have one.

Hopefully someone has bought this and has had good experiences with it since my other bedroom could use more heating and it seems really good from the article but would like some proof. :-)

Well, I never heard of this one. We bought a portable heater from Wal-mart that can heat up only one room without using alot of electricity. But, thanks for sharing this information, I'll check it out and see if we can save money on electricity bill pretty soon.

You are very welcome as my need would be just for one room as well and that would be my other bedroom. I do not need one for the whole house.
