Is there a difference between Oriental and Chinese?

I have never actually thought about this before. When it comes to the title Oriental and Chinese food does it have the same meaning???

Oriental refers to the countries in the Orient, china included,It can either be Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia etc. Chinese food is one of the oriental foods.

This is what i thought Oriental was i am thankful that you clarified that. I think i should get my butt back to school ... LOL!

When I think of "oriental" I think about all of the Asian cultures not just Chinese. Oriental is a broad loose term.
