Wow.. they must be really looking forward to see you! When i was studying in Canada, i was away from my grandma for two christmases.. thank God i had a good friend who invited me over to her house for both christmases and it was nice having her grandparents around as well.. gives me homely feeling during the festive season! =)

That is a good plan.. maybe should start buying presents now so that the budget can be spread out instead of having to buy everything at one go.. that's what i'll be trying to do =)

Initially this year we were to spend it with my husband's brother, his partner and their families but that changed a couple of weeks ago. So now we will be spending it with good friends, but more importantly our son will be home this year. :) The youngest child will come and get us at 7.00 a.m. and the older 2 will be making breakfast which we will have together. Then the children will distribute and open all the presents. We will have a quiet time with them for a couple of hours and then go home, but get together late that afternoon and enjoy our evening meal together. :)
