I am a senior in nursing school and wanted to know if there are any other nursing students out there. How do you manage your time, your studies, your life? I am a mother of three boys and also work when I'm not in school. I'm just about insane! But I can tell you that I don't listen to any whining.

Wow! I am no longer a student, but the title of your post intrigued me so I stopped by! After reading your post, I just have to make a comment! You will make a terrific nurse, because you already have one of most important tasks mastered. That being the task of good time management skills! Once you graduate and are assigned a huge patient load, you will be able to immediately prioritize needs and manage effectively. Kudos to you and best of luck! Nurses rule!

you are very tough to handle that kind of situation...I'm a 3rd year nursing student right now...I think you should first prioritise things because it is very hard to study and work at the same time, plus you have your children...I think it is best for you to focus first on your studies and your family, first...I rhink you are a very good mom and I admire you for that...

I am a nurse but I trained about 20 years ago when nursing was done in hospitals. I have found it to be a wonderful career for the varied paths it has taken me. When I only had one child I still did shift work but now I have three I have worked in aged care, doctors surgeries and at the moment I am doing community nursing as the hours are freindlier for the children's school hours. All the study is worth it (I did some teacher training at uni last year and used to do assignments and things like that in the wee small hours when the kids were asleep)

I'm a second courser nursing student. I just enjoy what i am doing. I make friends to my classmate so that we can create a harmonious and conducive environment. I just focus in what my professor lecture so that i can easily review especially befoe exam. I balance or make a schedule of my acivities everyday.

I am in my first year! I went the first two years part time, while working full time. I have 3 children and 1 grandchild, a husband, and 2 part time jobs! I was managing well and then I found this website! haha. I almost always have my face in a book! My life-well, we still try to do fun things every couple of weeks. My family is great, they help out around the house, while I study.

Hello. I am a senior this year and hopefully I could finish it March next year. Our schedule of clinical duties varies and with that, we sometimes find it hard to adjust in the shifts we have. We still have lecture so we still need to use our mind to study more lessons that we can use in application of our skills to our patients. I am not good in managing my time but I see to it that before the due date of something that needs to be passed, be it paper works or whatever, I make sure that I am able to pass my requirements on time. Sleeping is not that long since nursing requires a lot of staying awake. But I still have fun doing things and of course going to school.
