Crafty people....Where are you???????

I was just wondering how many "crafty" people there are here and what kind of crafty are you? I am a photographer and I can sew, but that's about as far as it goes. I always have good intentions to be crafty and make things like Martha Stewart but it just never happens and the "crafts" just pile up around the house. It drives my husband crazy when I say I'm going to start something new. Michaels' (Village Crafts) is one of my favorite stores because it has ALL THAT STUFF that crafty people use!!! So, tell me what you can do and give me some ideas. My son is 11 and he still likes to do stuff like that so help me out.

I am a "dabbler". I do a lot of different crafts but I am not heavy into any one thing. I do a little painting, woodcarving and other wood working, plastic canvas, paper mache, cross stitch, sew, beads and jewelry making. I get a lot of things but don't always have time to do them all. I know - someday!

I'm a new scrapbooker. I'm just now hitting the phase in my life where crafts might start to interest me. I have picked up a few photography books and magazines and hope to take that up soon to help out my scrapbooking.
