This would be my first time to India. Is April a good time for me to visit?

Are you going to India for business or pleasure? Which part of India are you planning to visit, anyway? If you are a bit more specific, we could probably know where to start. I have been to India; Bombay, Madras and Trivandrum precisely. I love Taj Mahal. The best thing to shop there would be sari (a traditional cloth of India). Stuffs to buy are also moderately cheap. I love to buy manggoes, jewellery (diamonds and stones in particular) and books. Hopefully you enjoy your staying in India when you get a chance to visit. When it comes to water to drink, I recommend you to drink only mineral water and not the boiled water. Since in India, I am not pretty sure you could directly drink the water from the tab. But they do have decent and nice hotels. And also the food over there are excellent. I have no idea whether April is a good time for you to visit, but I do sure any time of the year would be fine to visit India.

GOA man its a paradise.... Goa pronunciation (helpĀ·info) (Konkani: ???? go?ya; Marathi: ???? gova; Portuguese: Goa) is India's smallest state in terms of area and the fourth smallest in terms of population (after Sikkim, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh). It is located on the west coast of India, in the region known as the Konkan, and is bounded by the state of Maharashtra to the north, and Karnataka to the east and south. The Arabian Sea bounds it to the west. Panaji (Panjim) is the state's capital, and Vasco-da-Gama (Vasco) its largest city. The second largest and most historic city is Margao with the most western Portuguese culture. Portuguese merchants first landed in Goa in the 15th century, and annexed it soon after. The Portuguese colony existed for about 450 years, until it was taken over by India in 1961[1][2]. Internationally renowned for its beaches, Goa is visited by hundreds of thousands of foreign and domestic tourists each year, and has become one of the most popular holiday destinations for European travellers, particularly in the Northern hemisphere winter. Besides beaches, Goa is also known for its world heritage architecture including the Basilica of Bom Jesus . Goa also has rich flora and fauna, owing to its location on the Western Ghats range, which are classified as a biodiversity hotspot.

In INDIA especially South India is the best for tourist purposes. The reason is the seasons herein south is every year kept intact by the nature. Take e.g.the birds migration took place regularly every year without fail. This one e.g is the best to tour SOUTHINDIA.
