Affiliates... Help!

Ok, I don't need links to sites, or hypes about how I need one, or that kind of thing. I'm lookinf for information on exactly how they work. If you don't know... then please don't answer. I'm also interested in anyone out there who actually HAS a website and had ACTUALLY USED affiliates, and what your success has been.

Every successful Internet Marketer is an affiliate marketer, also. At my website, http://www.hometyme.com you can subscribe to my newsletter and learn - no pressure, no obligation. There is also a free marketing course there. Many of the authors have been doing this for a long time.
