where is bohol?am a dutch national...

i had been there with my boyfriend from sweden and we love it there. there are lots of beautiful beach resorts in bohol. all you need to do is go to a ferry terminal such as weesam express. go there before 5pm so you can get a reservation seat for you and your girlfriend. it's cheap anyway and the ferry leaves at around 6.30pm. when you get to bohol, you can ask people around to bring you to a nice beach resort. people there are friendly and will surely help you out. goodluck. have fun!

Bohol is a must go to place when in the Philippines. And you are so close by! SuperCat, the Abotiz-FBM joint venture has high speed catamarans that can get you to Tagbilaran city. There are three trips a day. Check http://www.supercat.com.ph for the correct schedule. Panglao beach is very nice and there are other attractions in Bohol island. Some of the nice places to stay in are: Bohol Beach Club Alona Kew Bohol Divers Other attractions in Bohol are: Chocolate Hills River picnic Sagbayan Peak Guindulman, forest park Tubigon is a charming old town in the northern part of Bohol. If you have interest in old Catholic churches, there are many fine specimens that were built from the 17th to the 19th centuries. The Boholanos (people of Bohol) are friendly and I am sure you will be made to feel welcome by them. Usual carefulness for tourists applies, be careful of touts, pick pockets and people who promise you incredible things. Do enjoy your Bohol experience. It would be nice to hear how it goes.

Oh my God! I've lived all my life here in the Philippines but have never been to Bohol. I'd definitely plan a visit this year..I promise! :)

Bohol can be reached daily by super fast ferries from Cebu, the regional transportation hub.From Cebu city wharf,there are many scheduled trips daily for tagbilaran seaport by super fast ferries.(PCVC)

I guess from Cebu you go to Pier and ride a speed boat that will take you about an hour or so to Tagbilaran. I suggest you go to Panglao island where the beach is fantastic!

bohol is definitely a nice place. if you're in cebu already, bohol is just a ferry ride from there. one of the best resort to stay is the Panglao Island Nature Resort. aside form the beaches, you can have a city tour and visit the chocolate hills, loboc river cruise and the famous tarsiers. have fun!
