My friend's vegetarian boy friend wolfed down hamburger after a quarrel !?!

Well my friend who is a dedicated vegetarian tried to convince her boy friend (also a friend of mine) to become a vegetarian. They had a heated argument and she told him that its over between us (though she didn't mean what she said). So her boy friend really got angry, got up and ordered a Chicken Burger and then wolfed it down in her presence. Now though they are both friends of mine, I feel that the girl should let the guy just be the way he wants to be, how can I persuade her to let him be himself and let him eat what he wants to eat? Btw when we both hang around together she has no problem with me eating meat.

Beeing a vegetarian is something that u have to choose for yourself, you can not be forced into it. He ate meet when she met him and therefor she should not try and change him.. what if he would try and change her the other way .- she would probably not like that!
I do belive that beeing vegetarian is a good thing, However I am not and I would not survive without meat. if my bf one day decided to be a vegetarian then it is up to him - but I will never be one and that he would just haev to accept!

Well they are not talking to each other and getting this in the girl's head is pretty difficult ... its not stupidity but an attitude problem ...

The girl should not stop his boyfriend from eating what he wants because she's already trying to change his boyfriend from someone who is not. People have different preferences so we should not judge people from doing what they want.

hmmm... thats just absurdity on the girls behalf! jeopardizing her realtionship because her boy friend is a meat eater! i've heard a lot of really peculiar reasons as to why couples have problems in their relationship but this just takes the cake!!
I think you being friends with them both should have a heart to heart with the girl and tell her that she may loose the guy forever if she keeps up with this absurdity
