In Western NY we finally have snow this winter.. Still not enough to do anything with it though.
How many people have snow?
What are you favorite winter activities? Snowmobiling? Sledding, snow angels, snowball fights-
These are a few of mine! Please share yours-

I'm in Pittsburgh and it's snowed a couple times, including now (barely), but it's only really stuck to the ground once or twice. Neither time was enough to even break out a snow plow. I loved snow...until I started driving. As long as it doesn't get to the point where cars are sliding into each other and my doors are frozen shut, I still enjoy it. It's part of the reason I love living in the north, we actually get a visible change from season to season. I saw an article on the front page of the paper showing the mud covered hills at a local ski resort. Kinda sad when it's so warm even the snow machines can't cover the slopes, but at least my heating bills are staying low.

We have about 3 inches, which is our total for the winter so far.
They really want to use up all the salt and are salting the roads for a teeny bit of snow about 4 times a night. The dogs hate it, it gets stuck in their pads when we walk.
We need a real snow fall.

Here in the Fingerlakes region of New York we hardly ever get much snow from the lake effect. But the other day we got about 8 inches dumped on us. Right now my favorite thing to do is look at it as I have a wicked cold. I don't dare go out and "play". But I like to throw a few snowballs. In my younger days, I liked to make snow forts and we used the blue recyclying boxes. They make nice snow blocks.

I like all those ,I have never skied, always wanted to try,but injured my knee. I don't do any of those now,but I ahve enjoyed doing them as a child and then with the kids. When I see a good snow,I am still tempted to drag out the sled.

There is nothing more refreshing than seeing my daughters face as she makes the 1st snow angel of the year. I love the snow when I'm home for the day- I do not ski either-- Have never tried and do not thing I ever will.. We do go tubing down the skiing hills.. Thats fun.

Tubing is one of our favorite things to do. Use an innertube (actually they have really sturdy rubber tubes made specifically for this now) and go down the hill or ski slopes. Of course skiing is great, but can be expensive for an entire family. Snowman making and snow angels are way too fun. Making a snow fort is great too and a great way to use some of those mounds of snow already built up! Be careful though to make sure the kids know not to go in them unless you check them out.. they can collapse if the snow mounds are weak or too large. Sledding is always a top thing and locally we have some great outdoor rinks (the biggest one being LAKE ERIE! LOL) to ice skate on!

I like skiing, but in Italy the snow this year is not easy to find. For now....
