My daughters account has been hacked into twice. I went to check and they are sending these spamers to hack these accounts , which is very common there to send links to their cam sites.I have worte the company to complain and I have also sent out a bullentin to warn everyone about the name of the company. I have also founnd out that its a problem that is getting worse and there are alot of complaints. They keep saying change your password but she has had to do that twice in the last month already. Yesterday, I saw that are deliberatly doing some that put adware and spyware on your computer.

I am so glad you posted this, as it gave me valuable information in some of the responses that you received. My daughter has a myspace account, which fortunately has not been hacked. I will surely advise her about what I read here!

The frequency of this too. I contacted that one spamer and they are running a bad webcam site. I think it exploits women. There are too many criminals there.

They also say that if your myspace account is being hacked into is to change your password and delete the bulletins ASAP. I always change my password on there because myspace is easy for hackers it seems like.

I know but my daughter has had to change her password twice in a month. How many times can you do that? I have to start thinking that this so bad because they cant seem to control it.

View Tom's profile, it shows a very good guide, explains how hackers do it, and how to prevent it. If that doesn't work you might have viruses.

OMG. I was looking for somebody on myspace, when I came across a poor kid that I guess his classmates or peers just really hated. There were several myspace pages about this one guy. His page had pictures of baby genitals all over it, horrible names that these people called him, there were terrible comments in the guestbook.. it was one of the most awful things I'd seen on myspace yet!

THEY ARE NOT HACKERS. You should see the movie hackers. There was this anti-virus company, creating destructive viruses, and selling cures for it. The hackers found a huge code, and in the end everybody thanked them. Are you sure your daughters account has been hacked. Its possible she accidentally mistyped her password. i was in a library, and Some kid, YELLED SOMEONE HACKED MY MYSPACE ACCOUNT. I HAVE HACKER KNOWLEGDE. He told me his password. I typed it in, and he logged on. I told him change your password. there he fixed it.

The movie Hackers was so silly and overly sensationalistic it was practically a comedy. The scenario where a hacker saves everyone from a evil corporation (run by a net admin who always skateboards through the building) is a bit unlikely. MySpace accounts, blogs, webpages, etc do get maliciously hacked into damaged/deleted/defaced. Hackers are not a bunch of technofied robin hoods. People do hijack webpages for their own amusement and/or profit. The person who posted this question talked about how their daughter's account was defaced with a bunch of junk from a web cam place. How would simply forgetting your password result in your MySpace page having it's content altered? The kid in the library that you are speaking of sounds like a real genius.

As for catching spyware, I've found that Spybot Search and Destroy works really good and it's free. Otherwise yeah, be careful.

Its happening to many, many, people. Its getting worse. Its not just a few people anymore. It is a very widespread problem in there. The more people , the worse it gets. I think its too much trouble to have to change your password so often. They seem to get it pretty quick when you do.
